The story begins after the Justice League's sudden disappearance. Lois Lane and Jimmy Olson investigate the Hall of Justice but are quickly chased away by ghosts. This leads them to call Mystery Incorporated for help. On their way to Metropolis, the friends discover that the city is infested with villains as a result of the Justice League's disappearance. After barely escaping to the Daily Planet, they Met with Lois and Jimmy, who explained the haunting situation. As the gang tours the Hall of Justice, they meet Lex Luthor, Mercy Graves, and Rex, Luthor Mystery Incorporated's dog, teaming up with Krypto.
