The story revolves around Paanan, a court singer of a marginalized caste who runs away to escape slavery after the fall of his patron. He got lost in the forest and ended up in a lonely and partially dilapidated mansion looking for anything he could eat after days of extreme hunger. However, the mansion turned out to be the home of Kodumon Potti, the master, and chef Kodumon. Welcoming Pa-Anan in exchange for Pa-Anan's services as a singer When Panan humbly apologized for declining the offer as he had to go see his mother. Godumon also criticizes him for being ungrateful to Paanan who was threatened by being forced to step into the house playing the role of a guest. But even so, he had to receive the patronage of the master. Over time, Paanan finds himself trapped in Kodumon's treacherous ways and learns that it is impossible to escape or gain freedom from this bondage. The chef tells Paanan the history of the mansion, and a terrifying legend is revealed.
