Our story begins when Charlotte receives a holiday newsletter from her college friend Jackie. Which makes her feel a bit like the Grinch. In the end Charlotte is stuck with a job that she doesn't really like. And her family's finances were tight. Meanwhile, Jackie has just sold her aviation company for millions of dollars. and is enjoying early retirement with her loving husband and children. Incredibly smart Meanwhile, the Sanders family made the long trip to Charlotte's older sister's house where they planned to spend the holiday. Everyone was surprised when they unexpectedly arrived at the Jennings family's house instead. All but Grant Charlotte's (Wyatt Hunt) mischievous son and his trusty sidekick, Monkey Bob. who entered the wrong address on their GPS, they are now stuck with the Jennings family for Christmas. Charlotte makes it her mission to prove that Jackie's life isn't falling apart. But she might have learned a lesson or two about the spirit of the season along the way
