The story of Arisu, a young man who is crazy about gaming. Thrown into a deadly race in a mysterious abandoned Tokyo, Arisu, along with two of his friends, faces a series of challenges controlled by an unseen force. The difficulty and timing of each person depends on the cards and the number of cards. Arisu meets the girl Usagi and joins her in solving puzzles to collect all available cards after his friend dies during a game. Their adventure takes them to a large hotel filled with other players where it is revealed that all cards have been gathered to thwart Ten Hearts.
