The story revolves around Keterlyn, Melchior's bride, who accidentally witnesses an attack on a young man. Victim who has lost his memory I don't know who he is. And how did you come to live in Tallinn? A ring found at the crime scene leads Melchior on a nocturnal pursuit of the Brotherhood. There were also questions raised by the eccentric group that was present on the day of the event. The ominous signs indicate that not only the stranger recovering from the attempted murder is at risk, but Melchior and Keterlyn as well. An inquisitor known as a ruthless witch hunter arrives in town. Melchior's ability to "talk to the dead" and noticing unseen traces of murder has raised suspicions that he might be a dangerous heretic. And the enemies of the church are at stake...
