The story takes place in 1899. A woman named Maura Franklin is experiencing nightmares related to being held captive in an asylum. She wakes up and finds herself on a ship sailing across the Atlantic Ocean. She covered her scarred wrist with a sleeve and said she was not crazy. On the table at the foot of the bed was a letter addressed to a man named Henry. She read the message: "I already know what our father did. Meet me in New York Trust no one..." Meanwhile, the ship's captain, given a set of coordinates suggesting a lost ship, is nearby, much to the consternation of the passengers. He changed course to follow this mysterious ship. What will they find on the ship? Will they reach New York safely as intended?
